I like walking in to model homes and seeing them all “staged” and ready to be moved in. Obviously this is a marketing gimick but towards the end of the selling phase, do companies sell these model homes as is or do they empty them out before selling?

From my experience, I remember seeing a sign stating two
separate prices at a group of homes in the Phoenix area
many years ago. One for furnished as it was, or without the
furniture. So the buyer had the option of buying it exactly as is.
I don’t know if they continue to offer that option today or not.
I haven’t gone on a model home tour since then. It is possibly
the offer of that one particular builder of homes, but I have no
    way to know.

I’m sure they would. Everything has it’s price. Where it might get complicated is when various vendors are showcasing their wares and you would need to negotiate with each one.

Some do and some don’t. It would be up to the developer. I’m sure if you asked the developer, they just might make you an offer that you can’t refuse.

The house and fixtures stay however the furniture is generally rented and it goes back to the rental company or moved to a new house. In some cases you may be able to purchase the furniture from the rental company it wont hurt to ask.
