the other furniture is like a dark brown wood color and the walls are a neutral cream-like color. i wanted opinions on colors to decorate with..i was thinking burnt orange, dark reds, and tans possibly??
also, does anyone know any do-it-yourself, cheap ideas to create home decor for the living room also? i want it to be chic, modern, and classy. all help would be greatly appreciated:)

I absolutely love that couch! Since you are starting with a very neutral base, you can really go with just about any color you love. It seems that since you mentioned orange and red, you like a very warm feel. I totally agree! I am an interior designer and home remodel expert in West Virginia, and when I am helping a client make color choices, I always start them off by asking them to pick a large item they absolutely love. Area rugs are a great place to start. Pick one that you love everything about…the pattern, the tone, the colors, the way it makes you feel. Use it as your jumping off point for the rest of the items in your room.
