Since that time, it’s been hard for her to navigate. Grandma’s condition has never improved beyond the point where she needs a cane, so she can’t climb staircases at all. The stairs are very steep and it’s a long way up. But Grandma refuses to leave her home. She doesn’t want to move because all her family’s history took place in this house.
