The Open Road Classic Car Hire’s Jaguar E-Type Coupe featured in The BBC National Lottery Show on Saturday 7th January 2006. The show included a game at their ‘Millionaire Manor’ which was produced by Initial, part of Endemol UK. The show, hosted by Mike Durden-Smith, had three families competing to win a week, living the millionaire lifestyle, in the Millionaire Manor. It included a game where the three teams have to guess which of three items is the most valuable. Past games have included such millionaire lifestyle items as; antique furniture, oil paintings and jewellery. For the show on 7 January 2006 the producers wanted to include some millionaire style Supercars. They decided on three classic cars, two modern and an older one and they picked a Ferrari Enzo, an Aston Martin Vanquish S and our 1970 Jaguar E-Type coupe. See www.theopenroad.co.uk for full details or call 0845 070 5142 to hire a classic car from The Open Road.

I just purchased a 4 bedroom 28 x 80 mobile home which wiped out my savings but its mine bought and paid for. I am a new mother and recently divorced. I love my new home with the exception of the carpet that is actually in really good conditition, is an ugly orange and yellow shag. Besides the fact that I hate it, it clashes with all my furniture and decor and as luck would have it is in almost every single room.

I was able to recarpet the living room and master bedroom and cannot afford to do anymore rooms for quite some time and will only be able to do one or two rooms at a time to boot. I have heard that it is possible dye the carpet myself which would be a perfect solution for my problem assuming it is in fact possible and practical. Can you help me?

I am looking to install new carpet in my living room since the former owner had installed incredibly cheap berber carpet and it is impossibly stained and will not come clean. My walls are a creamy beige and I have a stained glass window with red and beige prints, my curtains are bugandy and I have red border. Burgandy is my favorite color and it will compliment the decor that is already in my living room. Eventually (as in ten years from now or so when the economy is better) I would like to sell my house and invest in something nicer. My mother in law is saying that if I were to install the berry red carpet I like, it would decrease the value of my home since according to her, most people who are looking to buy are looking for a home with neutral colors and brown carpet. What is your opinion on this? Do you think that if you were looking to buy a home you would offer less bc of my carpet choice?
Just for the record, I am going to go ahead and install it because I will be the one living here for ten years and I can always replace it by the time I want to sell. I was just curious is all. Especially since, in all the fashion and home and garden magazine red is the new in color. Of course, all that will have changed by the time I want to sell. LOL Just curious…

I collect M&M figures so I thought it would be kinda cool to paint the room in primary colors with the carpet being red obviously with the 4 walls in blue, green, yellow and orange. What do you think is that too many different colors? This room with be used mainly as a home office. All of the furniture in the room is black, wrought iron and all of the decor in the room, will be M&M figures, etc of the various primary colors. What do you think?
ok my bad primary colors of blue and yellow with secondary of green and orange
