Ok I am redoing My Home these are some Pictures of the Begining of my Home redo. But Now Im stuck , I need another color or 2 to add to this Room , and I just dont know which one to use. Im need to lighten the room up , so if you can tell me some nice warm colors , because as you can see it is dark , in this House from my colors , so help me get the room to look inviting and warm , and still have the colors I love with the decor , i love.

Please remember Im redecorating my home so ignore the Boxes and stuff in corners , it is not where they stay , and the plastic bins , those dont stay there either.

You see the fountain on the floor , i need help with where to put that also , and those flowers im still making them , so ignore those the ones in the corner on the floor. And all the flower arrangements , I make all of them , i cant aford them in a store so I make them , plus I can never find what I want , so i do it myself

The carpet in the room is a beige/tan color and I don’t want to change it. I was thinking of painting his walls a silvery grey color but I don’t know if that will work with the carpet. Suggestions?

I have an old kitchen from the 1920′s/1930′s that I want to redo. I don’t have the money to get really modern cabinets/counters and all that. I am simply having a new wood look floor installed. The only cabinets are a small section of painted old style, from floor to ceiling, cabinets with glass doors on the top part, which I love. The room size is 13′ x 14′ with 9′ ceilings. I have a lot of woodwork because there are two windows and four doorways and the cabinets in the room. So far I have primed everything and my dilemma now is a color scheme. At first I was thinking all white walls and woodwork for a bright and fresh look and add color with new curtains and decorations, etc.. But now I need ideas, because I just can’t decide. I tend to like an old fashioned or country look. I dont want to stain, I want to used only paint. Anyone have any ideas? My light in the kitchen is punched tin and my kitchen set is the farm table style. My floor will be an oak color (fake wood) laminent. Also, if anyone knows of any websites that can give me ideas, that would be great too. I get country home magazine but it hasn’t been too helpful. My livingroom that leads into my kitchen has a country decor with tans, burgundy and black. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
paint.my furniture is burgandy n most my decor is burgandy .not good st choosing colors!
Do you have various patterns, colors & Motifs through out your house? I have a different decor for my living area that is a calming mint green with hues or royal blue, burgdy & toasted browns I’m excited about the outcome so far..
for my home decor i need a color to give the room some spark / wow … what do you think will go well with black, brown, and beige in a living room/ dining room area?
i forgot to add … unfortunalely i live in an apartment where i cant paint so the walls are white … and the carpet is like a light blue … uuggghhh … i hate it. But is there any hope???
