Candles are an ubiquitous sight and have been in existence since time immemorial. Who would forget the vital role candles played in human lives before electricity lighted up homes, buildings, streets, practically the whole world? Candles were also the first Christmas tree decorations. With progress in science and technology, there too is advancement in the candles' aesthetics - sizes in width and length, designs, colors, shapes in which the common round candles are now joined by stars, squares, oblongs and such; scents such as linen, lavender and citrus; materials other than wax, and candle holders and containers.
