My husband and I are moving to a new apartment. We have fairly large furniture: a sectional couch, 2 large bookcases, a tv w stand, and two thin cabinets with dvds/vhs movies. Our home is decorated in beach decor. I am looking for a good idea of what to do with a small area under the stairs of our new place. It can be seen from the entrance, and I have no idea what to do. We have two small children, so maybe a play area? I would appreciate any design ideas.
In other words, when does he abandon the notion that dorm room decor is acceptable?
for my home decor i need a color to give the room some spark / wow … what do you think will go well with black, brown, and beige in a living room/ dining room area?
i forgot to add … unfortunalely i live in an apartment where i cant paint so the walls are white … and the carpet is like a light blue … uuggghhh … i hate it. But is there any hope???
I love the look of vases of flowers in my home but the expense of replacing them and the mess if I forget to throw them out before they start to wilt means a rarely have them. Not to mention I just got kittens who love to nock stuff over and having water in the vases is problematic. I used to always laugh of people who had fake flowers but am now seriously considering getting some while I am decorating my new apartment (I am throwing away most my old stuff before this move). What do you think? My other idea was just getting some prints of photos of flowers on the walls but I don’t think that is going to give the same look.
I bought my stepmother 6 nice leather handmade coasters. The only problem is, they have no holder. I have searched ebay and yahoo, google, etc. but still haven’t found a simple holder that would work. I found one which was not her style, but may have to go with that one anyway. If anyone knows of site or store where I can find coaster holders without the coasters, please let me know. All help is greatly appreciated.
