I’m looking for really simple ideas, like for making organizers, decor, and stuff like that. Thanks!

Just like the person above me said, There are lots of things at michaels that can be turned into projects for rooms. Like trunks, picture frames, pottery, and lots of other things. I always liked starching the walls, its easier than wallpaper or paint, and its less permanent: http://www.rentaldecorating.com/quick_fix_fabric_on_walls.htm Making paper lamps, or adding bangles to pre-exsisting lamps is also fun. I used to get cheap furniture from the thrift store and paint it or chop it up to create something new. I would take a few chair legs and make a standing lamp stand. Or reuse a vase for a lamp base. Making candles is also fun, there are candle kits at craft stores, but you can take wax from wasted candles, some good smelling oils, melt it, then pour it into a mold with a wick. Another craft would be to make drapes, or bedding out of used ties from the thrift store… I did a skirt and a blanket and it was worth the work! Making shower curtains, drapes, bedding, or upholstry covers out of scraps of fabric always gives a DIY feel. If you want more ideas try checking out sites for Do-it-Yourself. Or Martha Stewart. Go to thrift shops, craft stores, and junk yards and think of different ways of using things other than their original purpose. An old pipe or oar makes a good table leg. There are lots of things you can do.
